Subject: Request to Attend AiX Conference 2027
Dear [Manager’s Name],
I would like to request approval to attend AiX Conference 2027, taking place on Wednesday 21st April 2027 at The Catalyst in Newcastle upon Tyne.
AiX is a focused, one-day conference exploring the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Design, bringing together designers, product thinkers, and AI practitioners to better understand how AI is reshaping the way we build digital products and experiences.
Why this matters
As AI continues to influence product development, design workflows, and user expectations, it’s important that we stay ahead of emerging tools, patterns, and ethical considerations. Attending AiX would help me:
- Understand how AI is being applied in real-world product and design contexts
- Learn practical approaches to integrating AI into workflows and user experiences
- Explore responsible and ethical considerations when designing AI-powered features
- Gain insights from industry practitioners working at the forefront of AI and design
Value to the business
By attending, I will be able to bring back knowledge and insights that can directly benefit our team, including:
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency using AI-assisted tools
- Applying new approaches to product design and user experience
- Sharing key learnings with the wider team through a summary or presentation
- Supporting our ability to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape
Who’s in the room
Speakers include practitioners from Opencast, Monzo Bank, Perkbox, Clio, Deck, Granola, Skyscanner and TetraLogical — a high-intent room rather than a sprawling trade show.
