Code of Conduct
AiX should be a welcoming, respectful day for everyone. This applies to attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and our team.
Expected behaviour
- Be respectful and considerate to everyone, in person and online.
- Respect people's boundaries, including when they say no.
- Be mindful of others in talks: keep noise down and let people ask questions.
- Look out for each other, and tell us if something doesn't feel right.
Unacceptable behaviour
- Harassment, intimidation or discrimination of any kind.
- Offensive comments or imagery, including in talks and slides.
- Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
- Photographing or recording someone who has asked you not to.
- Disrupting talks or other parts of the event.
Where this applies
Everywhere AiX happens: talks, breaks, lunch, networking, any AiX social event, and our online channels.
How to report a concern
If you experience or see something that breaks this code, please tell us as soon as you can. Email conduct@aixconf.co.uk, or on the day speak to any member of the AiX team.
What happens next
We'll listen, take your report seriously and treat it in confidence. We may ask the person involved to stop, or remove them from the event without a refund, as set out in our Terms and Conditions. We'll follow up with you once we've acted.
