AiX is a one-day conference for designers and product teams exploring how AI is changing the workflows and ways of working of designers. It's a day full of practical, insight-led talks, not hype and predictions.

When and where is AiX Conference in 2027?
AiX Conference 2027 takes place on Wednesday 21st April 2027 at The Catalyst in Newcastle upon Tyne. Doors open at 9am and the event is currently planned to run until approximately 5pm. End time is subject to change, agenda-dependent.
Tickets and registration
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets are currently in our Early Bird phase at £79. After that, it's £109 for the Final release. Student tickets are £29. Super Early Bird tickets at £49 are sold out.
Can I get a refund?
How do I update my registration details?
Can I pay by invoice rather than card?
No, we only accept card payment. Once you've booked, our payment provider, Stripe, will send you a confirmation email for your records.
How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are sold through our booking partner, Ticket Tailor. Just hit any "Get tickets" button on our site to book, or buy tickets here.
Can I get my employer to pay for my ticket?
Yes, we've written a ready-made justification letter you can send to your manager to help make the case. You'll find it on our Justification Letter page.
Are group or team tickets available?
Yes, group tickets are available with a 10% discount when purchasing 4 or more tickets. Email us at hello@aixconf.co.uk to enquire.
Do you offer a student discount?
Yes. Student tickets are £29, and they won't rise in price for our 2027 event. A limited number of student tickets are available — email students@aixconf.co.uk with valid ID to receive your unique code.
What's included in my ticket?
Your ticket includes access to all talks on the day, early access to the recordings once they're available, free swag and merch, networking opportunities, lunch (with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan choices), USB-C charging during the talks, and plenty of insight to take back to your team.
On the day
What time does the event start and finish?
Doors open at 9am. The day is currently planned to run until 5pm, though this is subject to the final agenda.
Can I charge my devices during the day?
USB-C charging is available during the talks, so you can keep your devices topped up throughout the day.
Who's speaking, and when will the agenda be announced?
Our speaker line-up is live on the Speakers page, and the provisional running order is on the Schedule page. Talk titles and descriptions will be confirmed closer to the day. Ticket holders will be the first to know about updates — book early and keep an eye on your inbox and our social channels.
I have a dietary requirement or allergy, can you accommodate me?
We do our best to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs across all meals and snacks, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options available. If you have a specific allergy or concern outside of this, please contact us and we'll do our best to support you.
Will the talks be recorded? Will I get access?
Yes. All ticket holders get early access to the recordings once they're available.
What should I wear?
There's no formal dress code. Come comfortable, and be yourself. Most attendees go for smart casual.

Where exactly is the venue?

Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Catalyst won the Lord Mayor's Design Award for Accessibility, with wheelchair-accessible entrances and lifts to all floors. See our accessibility page for full details and how to ask for adjustments.
Can I cycle to the venue?
Yes, there is secure bike storage available on site.
How do I get to the venue?
The Catalyst is easy to reach. It's a 7-minute walk from St James Metro station and a 7-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station, an 11-minute walk from Haymarket bus station, and roughly a 20-minute taxi from Newcastle International Airport. Coming from London? See getting here from London.
Where should I stay?
There are plenty of hotels within walking distance. We recommend the Premier Inn (0.3 miles away), the Sandman Signature (0.1 miles away), or the Hilton Newcastle Tyne Bridge (0.9 miles away). You'll find booking links on our Venue & Travel page.
Is there parking?
Yes, but not on-site. Paid parking by a third-party is available nearby.

Who should attend?
AiX is for designers, product managers, students, and anyone building products with AI. If you're trying to figure out how AI fits into your actual day-to-day work, this event is for you.
Can I apply to speak at AiX 2027?

Do I need a technical or AI background to attend?
Not at all. AiX is practical and insight-led, focused on real workflows rather than deep technical theory. Whether you're just starting to explore AI or already using it daily, you'll find plenty to take away. If you're confused, there will be a Q&A at the end of each talk, allowing you to ask all of the speakers your questions.
Are there sponsorship opportunities?
I'm a freelancer or working solo rather than part of a team. Is it still for me?
Absolutely. While much of our content speaks to teams, the insights apply just as much if you're working solo or freelance and want to understand how AI fits into your craft.

Will I get a certificate of attendance?
Not by default, but one can be requested. Just email us at hello@aixconf.co.uk and we'll sort it out for you.
